Tempelgården is entirely the creation of one man. The Visingsö artist Olle Krantz (1906-1999) fulfilled his life’s dream to create an artist’s estate for all and everyone to enjoy. It took him many years and hard work, and the result is a place like nothing else.
All kinds of wonderful well-preserved old houses, the Temple art gallery from 1913, oil paintings, sculptures in the lovely park, fruit trees etc.
Guided tours about the history of Tempelgården at 12 and 2:30 p.m. every day during the summer. Don’t miss this during your Visingsö visit!
During our ownership Tempelgården has been completed with among other things a restaurant and carefully restored houses for conference and party arrangements for everything from two to about one hundred persons.
